Class on Integrative Approaches to Health for Clinical Rotation Program

Dr. Liang who is majoring Psychiatry Mental Health and a vice president of Eastern Aligned Education and Research Corp. that has partnership with Barun Maek scheduled a class to introduce Barun Maek to medical students. They came from Taiwan and are in a clinical rotation program at Northern Medical Center in Upstate New York.

Dr. Liang is reading our main book, “Chinese Ancient Science of Yin-Yang Five Elements; Barun Maek Research”. He wants medical students to know how Barun Maek Research is practiced in integrative healthcare and that would be helpful for them.

Our president, Eunji Spitler, provided an hour-long online class as follows.

[ Recognizing Complementary Health Approaches in the US ]

She first showed more paths for healing than just current western medical specialties:

[ NCCIH Provide “Examples of complementary health approaches that fall within the categories: Psychological, Physical, and Nutritional“ under the title “Complementary, Alternative, or Integrative Health: What’s In a Name?”]

[ “Perspectives on Health and Life”, Health is not just absence of disease or medical diagnoses ]

In the class, students also experienced how Barun Maek used environmental management such as instrumental music, utensils, and other items corresponding with each of Five Elements for relevant mental care which affected our health as an example of the Barun Maek Research application. She brought up some cases of applications in Korean history as well. They sincerely agree with the effect and learned how their future patients may benefit from their field of care, whatever future specialties they may be in. Finally, they have known when and how to refer their patients to Barun Maek or even work together in an integrative way for the same mission, being healthy society.
