“To all my respected members of the Barun Maek Research Society, and to my fellow directors
Hello, I’m Jung Youngjin and have been a board member of our organization for a while.
At this moment of writing this article, I would like to conclude my position as a director with deep regret. Looking back on my journey, I would like to express my sincere gratitude.
Thirteen years ago, the relationship between my family and Barun Maek began in 2012. At that time, I was deeply worried about the growth of my second child. I came across the principle of Barun Maek with the desperate desire of parents to present a healthy future for my child, and soon came to be convinced of its effectiveness and value. It was not just an academic inquiry, but the whole family participated together to become a ‘practice project in life’ for the health of the child.
The process of promoting the value of Barun Maek by serving as a director was not always rewarding. In particular, the process of leading the elderly who have already hardened habits and helping them practice Barunmaek activities was a major challenge.
Since individual effort and will are essential in Barun Maek learning and practice, I felt indescribably upset when I saw people who did not easily open their hearts or gave up saying, “I will be the only exception,” no matter how good the results of learning were. I also felt depressed about why they couldn’t believe in such a really good Barun Maek Research.
However, seeing the children’s better and clear appearance soon healed the upset. Surprisingly, the children quickly understood and applied the principles of Barun Maek to their lives than their parents. It was only when I saw children voluntarily correcting their posture and thinking about Barun Maek in conversations that I was truly rewarded. Because I Know how these small practices will make children’s futures healthy, Children’s changes were the most tangible evidence of learning Barun Maek Research
The hope that Barun Maek gave me, the joy that my family gained by practicing what we learned in Barun Maek together, and the precious experiences I had as a director will remain a great asset of my life.
Now, I will put down my position as a director of the Korean board , but I will still remain a member of the group who believes in and practices the values of the Barun Maek, and a strong family who supports this Research Society.
Thank you very much to everyone who has been with us so far. I wish you the endless development of the Barun Maek Research Society, and the health and happiness of everyone.
Thank you.
